Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
PawCheck ("the app") is made by Voltaix Group. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- Dog profiles. The breed, age, weight, allergies, health conditions and goals you enter. This exists to personalize scores and guidance โ that's the product.
- Label photos. Photos you take of product packaging are sent securely to our scanning service to identify the product. They are used for identification and quality review of misidentified scans.
- Scan history. The products you scan, favorite and shelf, so we can show your history and monitor recalls for you.
- Account & purchase state. Basic account identifiers and subscription status, so your data follows you across devices and your subscription unlocks the app.
- Usage analytics. Aggregate, app-improvement analytics (e.g. which screens are used). If you decline the iOS tracking prompt, we respect it.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your photos for advertising or to train advertising profiles.
- We do not show your dog's information to other users.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Google Cloud) in the United States, protected in transit with TLS. AI label reading is performed by Google's Gemini API on our servers โ your photos are processed for extraction and are not used by us to train models.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete dog profiles at any time in the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
- Subscriptions are managed entirely through the App Store โ we never see your payment details.
Children
PawCheck is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new "last updated" date.
